Little Fish Factory
About This Spot
Stepping into Little Fish Factory feels like entering a cherished neighborhood gem where time slows just enough to savor genuine flavors and easy company. Tucked away on the southern stretch of WW White Road in San Antonio, this unassuming spot welcomes you with the familiar hum of lively conversation and the comforting clatter of plates being filled and enjoyed.
The rhythm here is casual and steady, a place where locals gather to start their morning with hearty plates or wind down with generous portions of fresh seafood without pretense. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, echoed by the friendly greetings from the staff who clearly know many of their regulars by name—and are just as welcoming to newcomers.
Food is at the heart of the Little Fish Factory experience, not in flashy presentations but in generous, thoughtfully prepared dishes that carry a sense of tradition and homestyle care. Whether you arrive early enough for breakfast, where the aromas of eggs mixed with sizzling country sausage or ham and potato tacos drift through the air, or you stop by later to enjoy crispy tacos and platters piled high with fried fish and jumbo shrimp, each bite offers a slice of local comfort. The dishes have a satisfying heft, portions meant to share stories around the table rather than just fill the plate.
This is a place that honors its seafood roots with large, hot servings of catfish and other Gulf favorites, along with a few Mexican staples that have earned their spot through consistent warmth and flavor. The casual vibe invites you to linger over a cold orange soda or lemonade, soaking in the moments between bites alongside chatter and laughter. It’s less about rushing through a meal and more about feeling at ease in a space that’s been part of the community fabric for decades.
For those who’ve driven past without stopping, the sense here is that Little Fish Factory rewards the curious and the patient—offering a little slice of San Antonio’s everyday joy where the combination of good food, genuine service, and laid-back spirit comes together naturally.

Friendly staff, prompt service, and hot food. They give you tons of fish and the oysters are huge. My only gripe was I like lots of tartar sauce and the fries portion was small.

It's been years since we were here. Gave it a retry. Fish pieces are served hot, and extra large. Perfect. Fries and Cokeslaw for 6 people were on the skimpy side for the cost. $38.00 with tax. Small cup of Lemonade was $4.00. $$$

I've been coming here since highschool in 1986, still awesome fish and Mexican food. Try the Old Mariner fish sandwich.

Thank y'all for an excellent lunch! The New Orleans fried fish was great. I also appreciated people watching the center community table & seeing some of the servers hug & express joy at seeing regular customers. It was nice to see staff helping elderly folks to tables & taking such good care of everyone. I asked what I should have next time & the servers encouraged me to have a platter with the spinach & raved about how delicious the Mexican food is. It must be 'cause you were super busy before 11 am. Thanks again!
